Cursor, attachment, folder, file...click!

For a group of fifteen, sixteen and seventeen year old girls who have no access to computers or the internet, our visit to the Centre today was enthusiasticly welcomed.

Normally Sunday means a day off, a chance to sleep for a bit in the intense Cambodian heat. Not today.

We arrived with our laptops to teach them how to use them, and to use the universal English words associated with computer-speak.

We opened word and excel, then made files and placed them into folders. They clicked with the cursor, opened menus and added attachments. They loved it.

Their eagerness for knowledge was a delight. We hope to get them to our English Centre shortly so they can familiarise themselves with our newly hooked up internet.
