She was looking forward to getting back into her studies and set off at 6:00AM for her first morning back at school. But the return to school has been short-lived. For later in the day she received a message than her mother had been burned by boiling water.
Just how bad we do not know but she expects to be away for at least a week so it can't be good.
We quickly got her a moto-driver who will take her to where a ferry departs for her home. Shaken and close to tears Sarey has no idea what to expect. We just hope for the best. And for decent medical treatment, always a dicey prospect in rural Cambodia.
