Sarey has gone back to her village to see family and friends for her school holidays and Khmer New Year.
Socheata, with a week off work to celebrate Khmer New Year has headed back to the institution where she spent half her life, to see old friends.
All of which means two things:
1. The house is blissfully quiet.
2. There is no need to have rice every single night. Here comes sausages, pasta, potatoes and cheese. Mmmmm...
