A Flat White Falls Flat

I love a good latte. I don't like cappuccino. In Thailand that can be a problem. Ask for a latte and you will often be served a cappuccino. Request a cappuccino and it might just be a latte.

Risky stuff! Unsure in one cafe I chose the safe option; a flat white. That caused some confusion as neither the waiter or waitress had any idea what I was talking about.

They summoned the manager.
'Ah, yes sir, a flat white. No problem.'
And five minutes later out came a mug of... steaming-hot milk.
