Orchids, gotta love 'em!One of the great things about living in this part of the world is the beautiful orchids. A stunning plant can be had for just 1 NZ dollar. The one pictured cost more than that- about 20 NZ dollars- but it's worth every cent. This one literally grows in air; no soil required.They are temperamental little buggers and don't flower very often but when they do it last several weeks and they do, of course, look incredible.
Sadly, none of our orchids have reacted well to the move into Bangkok; we haven't seen a flower since we have been here.
This fella is a $1 Orchid.
