OK, learning a foreign language is difficult (and for me near impossible) but you would think that if you were going to spend a lot of money on producing signs and banners that you would pull-out all the stops to get it right, wouldn't you? One prestigious school prominently displays the signs above despite having had native English speaking teachers for years; they just had to ask one to get it right. But they didn't and the Thai don't.
I don't know why, but from the small local store right up to big nation-wide businesses appeals to the English-speaking consumer are often odd.
