In a recent survey 47.4% of Cambodian men said 'they were prepared to have sexual intercourse with their female partner on Valentine's Day whether or not she was willing.'
That's an appalling figure, yet it represents a 14 percentage points improvement on the last survey carried out in 2009.
Last year the Cambodian government sent Phnom Penh police officers out and about the city to 'preserve Cambodian culture' by chasing away young couples attempting to check into guesthouses.
This year such action is not needed claim officials as the youngsters are now more aware of 'such stuff.'
