Cambodian Convenience Store

One of the neighbours has set up a simple convenience store in our street. Snacks and soft drinks for the kids, water and rice and some detergents and that's about it.

I wish them every success. But there are only about 20 families on our road and pedestrian traffic is almost nil (and who walks anywhere in Cambodia, anyway), and only an occasional scooter or car drives past.

Still, there are thousands of such places throughout the kingdom (although most would be better situated than this) so perhaps it will work.
