Home Town Destruction

Christchurch: Ann's hometown. We both have family and friends there.

It's grim news and there is not much one can say from so far away; the pictures and television reports of devastation can only reflect a small part of the tragedy.

All the best and hang-on-in there Cantabrians.

    How horrible Philip. I didn't even know about it until I read your post. I've been so focused on the bedlem in the middle east, I hadn't even heard the news about Christchurch. A lovely city, we really enjoyed our visit there. I hope all of your loved ones are safe and sound.

    Thanks for your thoughts, Snap.
    Sadly Ann's family home has all but been flattened. Her parents- who were at home at the time- were lucky to survive without a scratch. But they had to leave with just the clothes on their backs.

    Tragic for anyone, but when you are in your 80's...
